Lions Club Donates Books and Dictionaries
Our fourth grade classrooms will be given dictionaries that have been donated by the Lion’s Club of Red Wing on September 23.
Also, t
he Lions Club of Red Wing, along with ULC’s Men in Mission and other friends, donated $5000 to the Sunnyside and Burnside school libraries in memory of long time Lion member, Dr. Noel Evans.  Over 300 books were purchased.  Because of Dr. Evans’ interest in and support of local athletics, many books about sports were added to both collections.  Additionally, to honor his upstanding character and commitment to others’ needs, many titles about character education were purchased.
Thank you Lions Club!

About Our School
At Burnside School, our goal is to create a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment where children are able to take risks and discover the joy in learning.
Burnside Elementary School opened its doors in the fall of 1994, moving from the old school which was established in 1931.

The Red Wing School District has two elementary grade level centers: Sunnyside which serves children kindergarten through second grade and Burnside which serves children from second through fourth grades. There are approximately 560 students attending Burnside school.

Burnside School also offers before and after school child care through the Kid's Junction program. Please click here for more information on Kid's Junction.
