|MCA Tests for Grade 10 & 11 on April 23 & 24:
Sophomores will be taking the MCA reading test during 1st block and juniors will take the MCA math test during 5th block on April 23 & 24. Juniors are asked to bring their own calculators and headphones if they plan to use them during testing.
AP Exams: Students taking Advanced Placement courses will be taking their exams during the weeks of May 5- May20. Students must have signed up in advance.
Musical: Get your tickets for this year’s musical Pajama Games. Held at the TB Sheldon Theater, the production will be held May 8-11. Get your tickets at the Sheldon box office.

Alms is Boys' Athlete of the Year :
Tanner Alms was named Boys' Athlete of the Year in Class A Swimming and Diving by the Minnesota Swim Coaches Association. Congratulations to Tanner, he has represented Red Wing Schools very well both in the pool and in the community.
Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment Tests:
Beginning April 14 students across grades 8-11 will be taking their MCAIII tests. This year testing will be computer based. In some cases students will test during their class period (math, science, and language arts) while other tests will be conducted in lieu of classes.

|Earth Day, Caring and Sharing: RWHS will once again participate in Earth Day and Day of Caring and Sharing events. On Friday, April 25 first graders will come to RWHS to participate in learning events all centered around Earth Day. On the same day, RWHS students will come together with Live Healthy Red Wing, Friends of the Bluffs, the City of Red Wing and other entities to perform community service projects across the city. Students will have an opportunity to sign up to perform community service at a project that interests them.
Eliminate 5K Race:
Would any runners or walkers be interested in participating in Key Club's Eliminate 5K? It is May 3rd at 9 AM at Colvill Park (weather permitting)! The proceeds will benefit the Eliminate project which provides tetanus shots to mothers and their children in third world countries. It's a great cause! Please let us know if you are interested in participating in the 5K. We need to know if there is enough support to go ahead with the race. Click here for registration form.
2014 Prom Information:
This year's Prom, "Here’s to the Night", will be held on Saturday, April 26 at Gopher Hills golf course in Miesville. The Grand March will be at the high school and will start at 5:00 pm; the dinner and dance will follow at 7 pm at the golf course.
Tickets for the Prom will be on sale from April 1 through April 17during lunch. Cost per couple is $75 ($37.50/person). No tickets will be sold after April 17. Grand March tickets will also available for purchase at the cost of $2 for adults and $1 for students.
People attending Grand March can either buy tickets in advance during lunch at the High School or they can buy them at the door. People who have tickets are asked to enter the lower gym doors. Those who need to buy tickets will need to enter from the top near the district office. Doors will open at 4:30 pm for spectators.
