Congratulations to the Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Teams!
Congratulations to the Boys' and Girls' Cross Country teams on their success at the Section Meet on Oct. 22 in Owatonna.  The boys' team consisting of Asa Beckner, Meyer Beckner, Marcus Warrington, Forest Evanson, Phillip Mitchell, George Nemanich, and Thomas Nemanich took second to advance to the state meet.  Jasmyn Armstrong (1st Place) and Kianna Stewart (5th Place) both qualified as individuals.  Good luck on November 1st at St. Olaf!

Scholars of Distinction Program Now Open to High School Students
The Minnesota Scholars of Distinction program nurtures and recognizes distinguished achievement by highly motivated, self-directed students. Applicaton is available October 15 - December 15.  Click HERE for more informaton or contact Brian Cashman at 651-385-4517.

ACT Testing:
With a recent Minnesota Legislative change for the 2014-2015 school year, all Minnesota 11th graders will now take the ACT + Writing on April 28th, 2015 during the school day. This is a normal ACT test and will be submitted to any colleges the student chooses. There will be no cost to students for this test.  
The test will also be given at RWHS on October 25th, registration deadline is September 19th.  There is a cost.  Click HERE for more information.

Exciting News From the IMC:
Well....the name changed from CFI to IMC to be consistent with the other libraries in the district, but more importantly is our new partnership with SELCO (Southeastern Libraries Cooperating).  We are very excited to give our students and staff access to many more materials!  Click HERE to check out the expanded lists.

Math League:
Like math??  Don't like math??  Either way- join math league!!!  Great prep for after high school and real world problems- it's also GREAT on the resume!!  It's for grades 8-12.  See Tammy Mikkelson in H205 or Brent Wyatt at TBMS. 

Get Your Purple On:
The Red Wing Booster Club wants to get everyone in PURPLE for all Winger events! They will have Winger Pride t-shirts ($5) and hooded sweatshirts ($20) for sale at home events - watch for the purple tent and get your purple on!!
