Red Wing School District Balanced Literacy Framework
 
A framework is a set of organizing ideas or pinciples that guide instruction. The Red Wing School District Balanced Literacy Framework is designed to provide all teachers in District #256 with a foundational understanding of best practices in the instructional delivery of reading, writing, and word study. The development of this framework was accomplished through the hard work of 26 staff members over a two-day period in the spring of 2011.

As we continue to move forward in improving the quality of instruction we provide our students, this framework will serve both as an anchor and a standard to aim for in the coming years.
