Congratulations, you have a child eligible to start kindergarten in September 2024!
The transition to kindergarten is an exciting step into lifelong learning, and we’re pleased you’ve chosen Red Wing Public Schools.
Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year will kick off with Kindergarten Registration Night on Monday, Feb. 12. Families who are unable to attend can stop by the District Office, Colvill Family Center or Sunnyside School any time after Feb. 9. Forms also can also be downloaded using the links below to be completed at home before returning them to any of the locations listed above.
All children who are at least 5 years of age on Sept. 1 of the year of entrance can be enrolled in kindergarten. For more information about this requirement, visit the Minnesota Department of Education website.
To register a child, families must:
- Complete the general enrollment process
- Complete early childhood screening. Call Colvill Family Center at 385-8000.
