LITTLE WINGERS PRESCHOOL
Little Wingers Preschool is Four Star Parent Aware rated, community preschool program run by Red Wing Schools for children who are 3, 4, and 5 years of age. Programs are aligned to Kindergarten expectations and are offered two, three four and five half days per week, as well as five full days per week.. To be eligible, a child must be three or four years of age by September 1. There is a fee for preschool programs but scholarship funds are available to those who show financial need. Transportation is not available to preschool unless students are receiving special education services. Families may carpool or contract with Hiawathaland Transit.
The Little Wingers curriculum is aligned with the elementary reading curriculum and is designed to support and nurture young children as they grow, learn, and develop. Children learn cooperation, problem solving, language, and mathematics. They develop curiosity, self-esteem, strength, coordination, and self-direction.
All teachers are licensed by the MN Board of Teaching and have degrees in early childhood education, kindergarten, or elementary education.

Scholarships are readily available to families with financial need. Scholarships are provided by The United Way, Parent Advisory Committee, private sources and School Readiness funding. See above for current application.
