Kids Junction is a school age child care program serving elementary students throughout the school year and summer. We provide a safe, creative environment for children currently enrolled in kindergarten through grade 4.

Before School Care

Hours
6:00am until start of the school day

Program
Kids Junction's morning program is structured so students can approach the morning in their own style. Quiet activities as well as active games are available to the children.


Breakfast
Morning snack is not provided, but students are given the opportunity to participate in the morning breakfast program at their school (fees subject to free and reduced rates). Children may also bring a sack breakfast to eat during the breakfast program time.

Full Day Program 

Kids Junction will offer full day care for 5th and 6th graders on days they are in Distance Learning. 

This will only be at the Twin Bluff Location (Students from all schools can attend)

Kids Junction will be open to all K-6 students on scheduled non-school days at a site TBD.

Cost

6+ hours = $29/day

4-6 hours = $24/day

Under 4 hours = $6/hour

Dates Open:
Parent Conferences, Teacher Professional Conferences (MEA), Teacher workshop days, Winter holiday break and Spring break unless otherwise specified.

Dates Closed:
Thanksgiving and Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July Fourth, and Labor Day.

Registration
Required one week prior to the day. Parents must give 24 hours notice (unless otherwise noted) if their child is going to be absent on a non-school day for which she/he is already registered or pay the full child care cost. We must have ten children signed up to be open. Children not signed up one week in advance will be taken on a space available basis.

Lunch
Children need to bring a bag lunch and beverage unless otherwise directed. Do not send food that needs to be refrigerated or microwaved. Lunches must be labeled with child's name. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. No soda pop allowed.

Field Trips
Field Trips are frequently planned.  Watch for information on monthly calendar and on site.

Hours: After school until 6:00pm

Program
The after school program follows a schedule which includes free time (which may be used for homework), a light snack, and planned daily activities. Each after school site will have a monthly calendar and newsletter that keeps parents informed of daily activities and upcoming events. Be sure to pick up one each month.

Philosophy
Kids Junction provides care for school age children whose parents are unable to be home with them during non-school hours The program offers a friendly, informal atmosphere with activities planned to keep the children busy and creative. Children are given choices to participate in a variety of group and individual activities such as arts, crafts, games, physical activities, computers, field trips, and quiet time.

Kids Junction offers children a program with a wide variety of learning experiences, which provide balance to the academic focus of the regular school day. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to grow in the following areas:
