Food service staff training can be completed before or after your scheduled shift, but may not exceed 8 hours in one day or 40 hours for a work week. Any staff who have a legitimate request to exceed the 8 hours per day or 40 hours in a week MUST get approval from the Director of Student Nutrition Services, prior to the start of training.

Each kitchen, through the Head Cook, is issued one Chromebook for staff to borrow, if desired. Staff may do trainings together, but all COVID-19 precautions apply (i.e. masking, social distancing, sanitizing after use, etc.). Chromebooks can be turned back into the Brenton when completed (please send with Mark Johnson).

Once complete, staff should print and fill in their name on the three certificates listed below and submit to  the Director of Student Nutrition Services.

  • COVID-19 Delivery Precautions
  • Certificate of Completion

Please denote professional development hours on the time card as "PD" or “Professional Development”.

Please have your training competed by March 7th, 2021.
