Good Eaters. High Achievers. Strong Leaders.

Our school provides healthy meals each day. The United States Department of Agriculture is allowing schools to provide meals for the 2021-22 school year through a provision of the National School Lunch Program called the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). A waiver has been issued in order to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to COVD-19.

Our school has chosen to use this waiver and operate the SSO which enables us to provide meals free of charge for all students. No application is required to receive this free meal benefit.

However, your child(ren) may qualify additional benefits such as reduced fees or the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) which is a federal temporary emergency nutrition benefit that is loaded onto electronic cards for families to purchase food. At public schools, your application also helps the school qualify for education funds and discounts.

Students brining lunch from home, may purchase an extra milk daily at the price of $0.50 ea. Students just need to alert their teach, so that the kitchen can be notified. Students are still required to have a positive balance in their account to purchase a la carte.

All schools use a computerized school lunch accounting system. The system, called Prepaid Card Services, allows parent to deposit money into a personal lunch account for their child(ren). Each student is issued a four or five digit identification number that she/he will enter into a keypad when coming through the lunch line. The cost of the meal will automatically be deducted from the balance in each student's personal account. This system has eliminated the need for lunch tickets and requires meals to be paid for in advance. Please click  common questions and answers for more information about this system.

Students can deposit money into their accounts by bringing money to the school they attend. Checks should be written to ISD #256. Check should also contain the student full name on the memo line. Once check can be written for multiple students. If doing this, please denote on check.
