The School Board will focus on basic governance as the new year begins with three new board members. The board will hold its statutory organizational meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, in Red Wing High School room J110.
The agenda, available on the BoardBook, will include:
- Oath of office.
- Election of officers.
- 2025 meeting schedule.
- Designations of depositories, legal counsel, financial advisor, official newspaper and more.
- Photo of new school board.
The exception to organizational business will be introduction of the Red Wing Royal Ambassadors, who will be returning to college and unavailable to attend a future meeting.
Please note that there will be no public comment, administrative reports, committee updates or consent agenda. There will not be a 5 p.m. workshop. The meeting will be recorded and streamed on the RWPS YouTube channel. The next regular business meeting as well as a workshop will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, which follows the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
